The Spanish government has established the residence permit practically automatic to citizens from outside the EU, if they make a real estate investment equal to or greater than 500,000 euros in a property located in Spain, fulfilling a few simple requirements. This investment may be intended to be a place to live or to rent to third parties. The 14/2013 Law (commonly called Golden Visa) allows the same benefits when investing in shares of Spanish companies or acquires public debt, complying with the amounts and conditions established by the law itself. This rule, which was created, among other purposes, to attract investors and stimulate foreign investment in the Spanish real estate sector, allows investors from outside the EU to obtain residence permits quickly, in exchange for investing in Spanish real estate (and other assets), which allows long-term residence in Spain and may even be eligible for Spanish nationality after the corresponding period. The Spanish residence also allows the possibility of traveling freely throughout the European Schengen area. All Golden Visa applications processed by Inmolobby have been approved.
